With hundreds of people coming to Christ and unprecedented growth in The Orchard Tupelo, the vision of reaching people for Christ was coming to fruition. People were driving for over an hour from many surrounding towns to be part of the amazing work of God at The Orchard. This desire to be part of what God was doing led to an amazing unforeseen turn in the spring of 2006. A group of people had been driving 110 miles round trip from Oxford to Tupelo for weekly worship. These families, while feeling a part of The Orchard, also had deep desires for reaching their friends for Jesus - friends who live in Oxford - friends who wouldn’t drive 50 miles each way to church. So they asked if the Orchard might plant a branch in Oxford. By January of 2007, The Orchard Oxford had established itself as a unique expression of the same DNA that began The Orchard Tupelo - to reach people no one else was reaching. Today The Orchard Oxford continues to see much fruit from, and life given to the community, through what God is doing within this place.
